Yoho National Park

Yoho National Park

We hit the road early from Lake Louise for a quick drive (40 minutes or so) to Yoho National Park.  We planned to visit Emerald Lake in the park, and somehow secured the first RV spot in the parking lot as the lot was bursting at the seams with cars.  It was good thing, as it started raining almost immediately upon us parking.  We opted to make lunch in the RV and play some games in the hopes of waiting out the rain.

After lunch, the rain stopped, and the sun came out, so we started out on our journey.  Emerald Lake was gorgeous, and had a nice, easy trail that wound around the lake.

After our hike, we hit the Visitor Center and made our way back to our home for the night, Kicking Horse Campground.

It was truly one of the most spectacular campgrounds we’ve seen this Summer, with the most gorgeous views all around us.  We made some fish tacos for dinner, and Justin made another killer campfire.
