HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, ARKANSAS

From Nashville, we headed to Arkansas, with the destination of Hot Springs National Park.  We arrived in the evening, and took a dip in the creek there to cool off before dinner.  It was cold, and refreshing.  First thing in the morning, we headed into Downtown Hot Springs to see the Visitor Center and visit the Edwardian Era Bathhouses that the park is famous for.  We saw bubbling hot springs along the way, thermal water features, and several filling stations where we filled our bottles with the mineral-rich, hot water that's been underground for 4000 years (and supposedly has a great number of healing benefits as well).  We also enjoyed the Grand Promenade. What a crazy awesome park!

Bathhouse Row - many of these were built in the 1800's.  We didn't experience the spa-like bathhouses, as we are wary of COVID (and they don't allow kids anyway).
