ST LOUIS, MISSOURI and GATEWAY ARCH NATIONAL PARK
Following our time in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, we drove to St. Louis, Missouri. First order of business was seeing the Gateway Arch, one the newest National Parks in the US. Justin and I had seen it before, but it was new to the kids. Because of COVID, we weren't able to take the elevator to the top of the Arch, but really enjoyed the Visitor Center and Museum. After touring the arch, we headed to Chesterfield, MO, to meet up with our dear friend Christie Gallo, and her family. We had a lovely time catching up with all of them and enjoying some awesome St. Louis BBQ for dinner. After dinner, we hit up the St. Louis mainstay, Ted Drowse, for frozen custard (SO GOOD!!!). We spent the night near the arch, and headed first thing in the morning to see my dear friend Anne Malyszko (friend from ND), and she and I had a lovely breakfast together. I was happy to leave the kids behind for a short bit :) It was incredible to see Anne and catch up. Thank you for a fabulous visit, St. Louis!
